AMRITSAR: The solar plant installed for power supply at Gurdwara Shaheed Ganj Baba Deep Singh Ji was inaugurated by Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami after prayers. This solar plant is serviced by United Sikh Mission USA.
Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami, President of the SGPC, while inaugurating the solar plant said that the SGPC in collaboration with United Sikh Mission USA had earlier installed solar plants at Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib and Gurdwara Bir Baba Buddha Sahib Thatta (Tarn Taran).
He said that today a third plant has been started at Gurdwara Shaheed Ganj Baba Deep Singh Ji which would have a capacity of 78 KW. Advocate Dhami said that similarly approval has been given for setting up of solar power plant at Gurdwara Gurusar Satlani Sahib which would be started soon.
The SGPC President said that solar energy was a viable alternative and today there was a great need to generate electricity using natural resources.
He said that the generation of electricity from solar energy would not only solve the problem of electricity but also reduce the cost of electricity.
On this occasion the President of the Shiromani Committee Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami called on the Chairman of United Sikh Mission USA Mr. Rashpal Singh Dhindsa and other delegates were honored with Guru Blessings.
